this has been an interesting exercise to go through, the kit comes with two toners, one black and one white, each in their own box. the silicon is moulded in a way to give resistance to your jaw muscles what it does very well, less than five minutes clamping down on this gives you fatigue in the jaw!
it does exactly what it intends to do, my only issue is the shape of it is difficult to get comfortable on my molars without gagging never mind drooling. and the supports create suction to my cheeks, but its a fun product to use when i have a few minutes in the morning.

This is a solid and well made item. However the design is not quite right for me. The holes at the side create a vacuum making it stick to the sides of my cheek. This makes it hard to chew and use overall. Might fit someone else with a different jaw shape but not for me sadly.

I bought this Jaw trainer after reading James Nestor’s bestseller – Breath and discovering that Jaw strength can be developed by adults well into their 70’s including increasing bone density in the Jaw (which seems to be an unusual phenomenon).
Scientists speculate we trained our Jaws historically by eating a lot of food that may not have been the most nutritional, but also required lots of chewing to break down. Whilst our foods available nowadays are a lot easier to consume and higher in calories, it has potentially led to the decline in jaw strength and size, a symptom of which is that most modern humans require teeth extraction and corrective braces to straighten the teeth (a problem our ancestors didn’t have according to dental and skull records found pre industrial revolution).

I chose this Jaw trainer because it sits across all the teeth, and when we chew that’s done with the molars at the back, so the typical donut shape trainers you see available didn’t make sense to me as they are meant to be used on the front teeth – which wouldn’t have been used for chewing food.
This product works well, you need to have your mouth open in a kind of cheesy smile position when chewing on the Jawgym, if not the gaps can create a suction on your cheeks when you release your bite (which is no big deal just a cue to adjust facial position).
I’ve only been using it a few days but I can feel the fatigue in my jaw which im happy with. Time will tell if it changes face but from what I gather that can take a while.
A side note, I’ve read a little about TMJ which sounds pretty miserable. Listen to your body and be careful not to overdo it exercising with this. Slow and steady wins the race.

Paid a premium for this product compared to others on the market and now I regret it.
There are no instructions or advice on how to use them, when to use them, how long at a time you should use them and when to stop using them etc. Which is extremely neglectful, given the possible repercussions. Seems the only reason they would not send out instruction on how to use their health product, is to avoid potential liabilty and repercussions caused to people’s health, by using this unproved product incorrectly. With improper use of this, you could develop a cross or overbite, bruxism, lock jaw, headaches, breaking teeth etc. In the future.
Important to note that as you bite on the product a vacuum effect is cause and your inner checks are sucked in tight with each bite, so it’s not even good to use and its twice the price of most other devices on here. You will also need something to clean up the puddles of saliva that is caused by the suction action, very uncomfortable and unpleasant to use.
